Van Briggle Pottery has markings that identify different artisans involved in creating a piece. These can include the artist who threw the original piece (marked only on originals), the finisher who added details, and/or the glazer.

 

Please note that the word "original" applies only to unique wheel-thrown pieces. Also know that at times the etcher who refined the piece would also leave their mark.

 

These lists are not exhaustive, and artist markings can vary in style.
